Another dad’s pride
As you probably know from reading this blog, I’m a die-hard Yankees fan. It was with great pleasure, then, that I read this terrific Mike Vaccaro story about another father celebrating the accomplishments of his child in today’s New York Post.
In a nutshell, the piece is about Jed Curtis, father of Colin Curtis, a reserve outfielder who yesterday crushed his first Major League home run. The circumstances of the at-bat were unusual (another player was thrown out of the game with a 0-2 count, which means that Curtis essentially had one strike left). The result was memorable.
Expect another post today or tonight about developments here—after a sleepless night of crying, coughing and lots of snot, L was just diagnosed with her first double ear infection.
For now, though, I hope this piece makes you smile.
